Solid pinion spacers prevent loosening of the gear setup preload. Originally designed for older Toyota applications, Toyota stopped using them decades ago. Solid spacer and shims replace the crush sleeve. It takes a little longer to set up but you won't have to keep retorque the pinion nut down the road. Note: This item is installed at the time of differential set-up. Intended for use in V6 and High Pinion 8” Toyota and Trail-Gear differentials.
